Six sectors push down QSE early Thursday
The banking sector inched down 0.05

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session in the red, pressured by the fall of six sectors.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index declined 0.27% to 9,702.06 points, adding 25.99 points.

The bourse’s turnover amounted to QAR 30.73 million after 1.16 million shares were traded through 583 transactions.

The industrial sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 0.56% as Gulf International Services retreated 1.56%.

Similarly, the banking sector inched down 0.05%, dragged by Al Khalih Commercial Bank’s (KCBK) 0.82% drop.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.22% as Doha Insurance jumped 6.17%.

Qatar Insurance’s stock, which stood at QAR 37.94, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 9.98 million, while Doha Bank’s stock, which decreased 0.24%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 387,530 shares.
